Time for Environment:
“We don’t inherit the earth and our environment from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”.Yes, you read it right. Environment is the real world that has given us the marvellous life, a great chance to explore its world filled of beautiful miracles. The word, ‘Environment’ is defined as,”all that which is exterior to the indivisual human host”. Environmental issues were not a matter of concern in the years gone by. People were not aware of the grave implications of environmental degradation. Lack of awareness leads to more damage to the environment. With the rise of internet advancement, everyone is aware of the environmental issues Today not all of them understand the deeper meaning of each one of these issues. However, given the state of earth, people realise that all is not well.
There is a way in which every person cares for the environment. Some people respect it. Some try to nurture it. The crucial issues related to the situation today are mainly global warming, greenhouse effect and climate change. The environment around us is a magical world where we can make the best uses of the byproducts and the waste materials. This all can be converted to energy using the ideas and the necessary resources.
Waste to Energy a beautiful concept which makes the best use of waste to produce the best outcome. It is the process of generating energy in the form of electricity and heat from the incineration the waste. The energy produced from this process is close to that produced from coal, natural gas, oil or other processes. The waste to energy cycle is projected to reduce landfill municipal solid waste (MSW) by 90 percent, which will further reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) produced by waste. Global waste to energy market size was valuedud at USD 17,271.4 Million in 2017 and is projected to reach USD 27,000.8 Million by 2025, growing at CAGR of 6.1 % from 2018 to 2025.
We have very limited resources which should be shared among us. We have become like animals and fight for the resources. We must take advantage of all resources we have no hi, regardless if they came from the earth, are man made, or are waste products.
RECYCLING OR CONVERTING WASTE OF ENERGY ?
Recycling or converting waste to Energy? In today’s growing world we are using our natural resources way more than we used them ever before and because of that we are slowly but substantially running out of them. So to save our environment we should first learn how to manage waste. To do so they are two ways, first to recycle which everyone knows and which is significantly cheap and doesn’t affect our environment. Although some people would argue that converting waste to energy and using the incinerators as a method of managing waste is better than recycling . I on the other hand am against the whole idea of converting waste to energy and using incinerators because if we look at the facts and how good converting waste to energy and using incinerators is if we want to save the environment we will find that it is not as it emits toxic gases like methane and carbon monoxide which are not only toxic for us but are considered green-house gases too.
Waste treatments that are conducted involving high temperatures are called thermal treatment. The heat generated from this thermal temperature is the then used to create energy. Some of benefits of waste to energy are as follows:
– Reduction of waste going to landfill sites.
– Reduction of greenhouse gases.
– Reduction in the use of fossil fuels.
– It’s environmental friendly.
– The creation of jobs.
An environmentally sound and techno economically viable methodology to treat biodegradable waste is highly crucial for the substainability of modern societies. A transition from conventional energy systems to one based on renewable resources necessary to meet the ever-increasing demand for energy and address environmental concerns.
Everybody should come forward and take part in the environment protecting campaigns, it’s important for everyone to join their hands and support in converting waste to energy. The environment gives us countless benefits that we can’t repay our entire life. There is a need for spreading the world about the harm the environment is undergoing. The laws on environment care should be strictly implemented too. The sse of toxic plastics should be cut, people should participate more in planting trees and seeing to the thing that the environment remains clean and hygienic around. Even Mahatma Gandhi would dream of pollution free, filth free India.
I can’t change the world. But I can change world in me.
The future is green energy, sustainability, renewable energy.
