My waste my responsibility is said to be the slogan, motto, even Mantra for every citizen in the world. Waste management is essential for every citizen for today’s sophisticated world. Population of the world clinches about 7.8billion by 2020whereas the population of India clinches 138crores. The world generates 2.01billion waste per annum.
Out of the total waste collected in India only 5% is composted and only 1% is recycled remaining 94% is dumped in landfills and oceans in India.
According American Writer Mason Coley “Human society sustains itself by transforming Nature into Garbage” It is really true right. We are dumping garbage and wastes in land and oceans to sustain ourselves in the world.
We don’t have responsibility to litter the waste in dustbin, but we used to finish our work easily by throwing everywhere not in dustbin. But we used to keep status and forward messages about the wastes in whatsapp but we won’t be responsible to the dumping of the garbage.
India ranks tenth in list of waste generators which make us breathtaking. This makes us to have diseases and many consequences. In order to avoid these consequences we should be responsible for our own waste. Now we have a question that how we are going to make us to responsible. The easiest way to make everybody to be responsible is to start from childhood. Yes we should start from our students who are future generation of our India. First of all we should start from the school that every student of the school must clean their own classrooms and washrooms, which make them to be responsible. Next teachers should encourage the students to join some Non governmental organisations (NGO) who are trained and very eager to serve the country from the waste that we produce. This make them responsible. In Japan, the students used to clean their schools and colleges themselves. This motivate them to be responsible for the wastes dumped by the society. They become more responsible for the single waste and also implement them in their life and in society.
Schools and colleges should train their students to themselves and the society. This will motivate them and make them to be a responsible citizen.
In India, we should encourages schools and colleges to this as an co-curricular activity which motivates our students to be responsible and they don’t dump the waste in street. They will properly dispose it. This will be the biggest achievement made by this generation.
We can also implement a law that every citizen is responsible for his/her own waste generated by them. They shouldn’t dump anywhere. They should compost themselves in their itself. There should be a complete and strict ban for plastics.
By doing this, we can able to make INDIA as one of the best country in the world. MY WASTE MY RESPONSIBILITY should be the motto of every INDIAN.
Don’t be bitter, to litter, be better person to litter in dustbin.
IMPOSSIBLE ISN’T SOMETHING THAT CAN BE DONE..
IT IS JUST SOMETHING THAT HASN’T DONE BEFORE
So we the citizens of India should be proud in future that our country is pollution free, emission free, and waste free nation.
We should stand together to achieve this… JAIHIND
