In this essay we are going to see “MY WASTE, MY RESPONSIBILITY”. The term defines that we are responsible for each and every wastages.
WASTAGES IN DAILY LIFE:
From the beginning of a day we are facing wastages. Firstly it is proven scientifically that we have to brush our teeth within 3 to 5 minutes results good for health. But most of us didn’t follow this. It may lead to loss of water and loss of time.
Secondly we are wasting so much of water while bathing, washing vessels and clothes and for other purposes. This results in water shortage in Summer season. Also in most of the places people suffering for water for drinking purposes. In desert region people walk miles to get water.
Thirdly we may say about food waste. Fruits, Vegetables, pulses, wheat, rice, etc., are consumed by customers after many stages. These stages involves production, storage, distribution and consumption for human needs and wants. Improper maintenance in these stages may lead to wastages of food products because some food products are perishable and some are non-perishable. It means some are deteriorated soon whereas in case of some product we may store even for months.
In marriage, general meeting, funeral etc., food will be served to all the participants. There may have the chance of excess of food and also food waste. These may lead to food waste. In India most of the people don’t have food for their daily life. It shows the imbalance in the economy and improper management. In one side people have excess of food and throw into dustbin whereas on the other side people suffer from food scarcity.
HOW TO OVERCOME WASTAGES ?
We have to use water only in need with less flow. In public places if we see water flow in tap unnecessarily we should volunteer us to ‘off the tap’. We have to save water while raining and use it when we need. We may also use washed water for gardening and cleaning toilet purposes. India is a country which have abundant lakes, rivers, canals, ocean and sea. By using these abundant resources properly we didn’t have water scarcity in present as well as future.
Likewise we have to serve and eat food as per our need. If excess of food found we may distribute to orphanages, oldage homes or the needy person. We have to plan and manage accordingly. We should have to keep in mind while eating “Don’t waste food”. Because it may be important for any other person.
Other than these time also wasting everyday. We have to utilise time efficiently and effectively. A person who knows how to manage time properly he will achieve that what he wants. Major waste in daily life is paper waste. For preparing a single paper we are sacrificing trees. Japan discovered machine for converting waste paper into tissue paper. Likewise we also have to invent something new to overcome wastages. Otherwise we have to stop things to become waste that means we have to plan, prevent and execute because “it is our responsibility”.
“IF WE THINK ITS A WASTE, IT WILL BE WASTE…
IF WE THINK IN A DIFFERENT WAY, WASTE WILL BECOME SOMETHING NEW…
SO EVERYING IN OUR PERSPECTIVE”.
THINK WELL. DO WELL. BECAUSE ITS OUR RESPONSIBILITY!!!!
