Abstract:
An educated person is a real asset to a country. Because he knows how to tackle all the situation.
In india, we have many issues , but the main issue which is alarming these days is the issue of garbage. Everywhere, one can see that there is a huge wastage. One can see garbage lying here and there.
But have you ever thought of it?
No! Because no one cares.
Everyone is busy in their life that they don’t even bother about the planet on which they live! To save it! It’s a compliment that we are progressing day by day but all these advancements have a bad impact on our planet, on our environment.
Have you ever thought of this?
In this article, I have mentioned about the importance of 1 mantra that is ‘My waste, My responsibility’.
Introduction:
‘My waste, My responsibility’: a Mantra which everyone should adopt in his life. This slogan in simple words means and signifies that it is the responsibility of each person to manage his waste carefully. The emphasis is on the fact that everyone have to be responsible enough!
A change is a must need for the hour. Because things will not go so far like this. Situation has to be changed.
If waste be managed in a proper way and all people take responsibility, then nothing would be happier than this.
The 3 R’s:
This is a common term which everyone must be aware of. We all as a student have heard about this!
But do we really implement it in our real life?
What’s the use of that knowledge, if we don’t even apply?
Waste management:
Everyone should learn techniques for managing the waste properly.
My waste, my responsibility:
This is a great initiative which needs to be popularized . What this slogan means ?
This slogan means that those who are the creators of the waste, should take responsibility to dispose it as well.
We have made huge progress in terms of science and technology. But isn’t it strange that we aren’t able to tackle the problem of waste till now?
It’s really disgusting of us, all people that we are not able to handle this problem on our own and that is why there are some people like ragpickers and all such fellow beings who dive into these manholes for the garbage which we had thrown?
They do this work because they are bound to do it! They are illiterate, they have no other source of income.
But have anyone of us realised this that we say ourself as responsible citizen! But we are not able to manage our waste even.
Isn’t it ironical.
How to tackle waste: is the concern!
Waste can be created by anyone. It can be me, you or anyone. Generation of waste is not a difficult task. What is difficult is to tackle it. What is difficult is to manage it.
Learn: How to manage waste:
Before taking responsibility, one should understand that how we can manage the waste.
👉The first step which is involved in this, is the segregation of waste. If segregation is done, then all other process become so easy.
👉The second step is the process of Transportation.
👉The third step which is involved is the Disposal of waste. Disposal depends on the category.
Suggestions:
• Law needs to be strict.
• There are many laws, either they are not properly regulated or the people don’t follow them. This problem needs to be addressed.

Why responsibility to manage waste is important?
The last thing which is of great importance, is to find that why is management of waste so important and why responsibility to take and handle this problem is so important?
So the answer is: it’s important for the environment. It’s important to provide safety to whoever lives on this planet. As world is developing, we should also develop our techniques for management of waste.
Some waste like plastic are a threat to health and environment. These needs to be managed in such a way so that it don’t hamper the environment.
Conclusion:
Change can’t be brought up by only few people. Change will come only if all people support. Responsibility can’t be taken by any individual. All have to come up collectively to deal with this issue.
But what one can do, is to take personal responsibility on his side.
