MY WASTE MY RRESPONSIBILITY.
A student group at a California University recently adopted the slogan, ” My waste my responsibility “. I have not been able to contact these students about what their slogan means, but I suspect they are promoting waste reduction and the idea that “responsible” people create as little waste as possible.
But what if their slogan is applied to recycling and disposal? .Recycling is simple .No doubt they want “responsible” people to recycle as much as garbage as possible through drop-of or buyback centers and curside recycling .
In India ,
My waste, my responsibility is a mantra.for no dumping non profit organization that aims at having cities without dumpsite .The organization has been working in the field of waste management since 2016.From waste collection to segregation to processing and safe disposal of waste , The NGO not only handles waste efficiently, but it is also making weddings and parties go waste free.
Started by three youngsters , Suresh Bandari, Saranraj and Parshanth ,the group has 15 active members and volunteers who support tem in event and in spreading the message of waste management.
The focus is to not burden the landfills with unsegregated, non recycling and non biodegradable waste. To achieve their objective of no dumping ,the organization is helping individuals, organizations, and institutions in segregating and managing the waste.
MY WASTE IS MY RRESPONSIBILITY.
BE SAFE .
