Here’s a common proverb that everyone may have heard before, ”Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.” When we put the whole picture together, recycling is the right thing to do. As our global population goes on with a steady rise so does our product utilization, which of course leads to an increment in waste production. The huge portion of waste that we are assembling ultimately stays up in our oceans, lakes, rivers, backyards, and parks creating what are known as garbage towns. This would introduce health risks to individuals and the community as a whole. It is estimated that more than 3.5 million tonnes of plastic waste is being produced every year and there is no place or method still being used to dispose of these plastic waste safely. As it is going to harm the ecosystem and all the living beings include us. The plastics which we throw ruthlessly, will reach to the oceans through the various sources and will get disintegrated into microplastics due to strong ocean currents. Finally it will come to our stomach itself through the food we eat the water we drink.
We should never throw the waste carelessly. We as responsible citizens should preserve our nature. We should grow up and start using various ways of recycling the waste materials. If not now…..then when? Even the kids know how to trash the plastic waste in a proper way. Lets get rid of the littering problem in our country. At homes, we should use food recycler for recycling and reusing the food wastes. This food recycler machine is used to grind and crush all the food wastes and it works with heat and vibration which breakdown and sterilize any left over food into tiny particles. The advantage of this machine is that it enlarges the soil fertility for agricultural proceedings.
Recycling and reusing are the only known practicable techniques to reduce waste production. Concentrating on research and development to create and form innovative solutions for recycling and reusing of plastic in organic and toxic wastes are important to prevent the impact of the mountains of waste that we have already produced and dumped it on nature. The supreme body has to come forward and stop the dumping of toxic waste on our oceans, seas, lands and air. Proper awareness and educational campaign should be conducted to make people aware of a safe waste disposal system.
I will like to wind up by saying that waste management solutions should come from an individual level and not just from a governmental level. Lets discourage others who litter our streets/neighbourhood with plastic waste. If we are responsible enough, those waste can go into recycling and lessen the burden of our precious earth. Each small step taken by us at an individual level counts. We all are the real contributors of nature and it is our responsibility to save nature from being poisoned and exhausted.
