Plastic: From Waste To Wealth
Don’t be drastic; Say “NO” to Plastic. How often do we hear this ? Everywhere we go. Ban plastic Ban plastic posters everywhere whether inside a shop or walking out on roads; its just everywhere . But who cares!
Every one here is just shouting and crying to just ban it thinking its a waste, but do they even know that this waste can be a great wealth to nation?Surprisingly a big No!
So first of all, we should know the meaning of waste and wealth .
Waste is something that is of no use or it is considered to be garbage. Amd Wealth is something which id very very important and a valuable thing without which we cannot even think of living.
The treasure is actually hidden in the trash. It is a different matter that we are far behind in extracting this money kept in the treasury. Waste management is in bad condition in India. There is no complete policy of how the disposal of waste from the cities should be done. In such a situation the mantra to make “WASTE TO WEALTH” can be useful to us.
These days the earth has been filled with a lot of waste. There is a lot of plastic, waste, garbage and the most famous electronic waste. We humans produce this waste and dump this waste according to our needs and neccesities. Waste are piling up and accumulating.
Plastic waste is one of the biggest problems for us. And the only solution for this is recycling.According to my opinion recycling is the best way to manage used plastic and convert it into new products. We should keep in our mind the 3R’s of earth REDUCE ,REUSE AND RECYCLE to convert waste management products into new products.
And who told you that plastic is just a bane to human society! Plastic itself is a boon. Lets see through the following examples:
The highover in jammu from Bakshi Nagar to Domana has and underground covering with plastic to save the road from water.
Plasticis the perfect material for use in packaging goods. Plastics is versatile, hygenic, lightweight, flexible and highly durable.
And how can we forget that two years Nitin Gadkari two years back gave a wonderful speech on how we can convert waste to wealth.
Waste to wealth is the way forward to make India clean. Paving brick is made by recycling plastic. Plastic is even converted into fuel.So how can you even think that this is a waste? It’s not ! It is a blessing only when seen from the positive side and even used positively not polluting the enviroment.
In nigeria plastic is recycled and used to make bags each and every women is seen carrying those ligh weight bag.
Even in ISRO the chandaryaan mission made the protective sheet of the satellite from plastic and it was in the history that india achieved a great respect from other countries. They used plastic which was light weight and the main criteria of their satellite.
Roads built from recycled plasticwaste are more durable in extreme weather conditions compared to conventional roads! India has already built 1 Lakh Km roads from discarded plastic waste.
Recycle plastic waste to make colorful floor tiles. plastic waste is crushed, washed with detergents & sodium bicarbonate to disinfect it, mixed with fillers like fly ash and then ready to use.
So i would like to say that “The earth does not belong to us” we belong to the earth ! Clean India Green India,
Healthy india wealthy india:)
It totally depends on us how we use or misuse a thing it can either become awaste for us or be a wealth to us to take our country to a better heights.
Stay safe , Stay healthy🌎
