Waste in my community.
Today the world is struggling from the dangerous and fatal problem of Waste and its management. Proper Waste managenent is the need of the hour. So lets see how our community manage its waste and
I belongs from the Latur City of the Maharashtra state from a middle class family. Our community produces quite equal waste as of the others. I think due to lack of required knowledge our people throw their wastes in the gutters and besides the road which is very much responsible for increase in diseases. Although the Municipality send their waste vans many of our people due to unawareness dont throw garbage in van and satisfied to throw it infront of their homes inspite they may know how dangerous it will be for not only them but also to their neighbors also.
A group of people has come forward and started awareness along with municipality workers. But these people needs financial as well as social support. Let us see A true story of a man in our locality.
There is a man in our society of age nearly 45-50 years. His behavior is very angry in respect of others and no one wants to talk him on any topic. The man was supposed to throw his waste behind his home where there was a major road. Initially the municipality take that waste but afterwards no one took it and there a large waste dig becomes. Some responsible people of the community instruct the man to stop to throw the garbage on road inspite they advice him to bring a dust bin. And they bring him a dustbin also but the stubborn man not stop to throw his garbage on the roads and continued to do it. All of us stopped to say him anything else and let him do whatever he wants. One day the after throwing the garbage the man see two small boys clean his backside after seeing that the man shocked and now he is strictly thriwing his garbage in the van only.
The above story teaches us the importance of cleanliness and waste management. The Indian societies must be awared in respect of waste management. The waste seperatation must be started at home itself by awaring the peoples. As a majority of peoples in our society dont know what is it?, and how to do it? So not only the government but Also the social organization and finally the persons themselves has to start a movement at their platforms.
Our Latur District was 1st in the country in 2018 in terms of Waste Management. We had started a initiative at that time and had devide the peoples in many sections a lot of volunteers had come forward. We had started 5 fertillizer plants from the domestic garbage and now we had a very better organic fertilizers at a very low cost. A organic garbage plant had been setupped at every ward in our city and the public is been awared. The new type of vans with seperate sections had started to take the garbage.
I think all over India must start these types of initiative to overcome the problem of waste managing. As thousands of tonnes of garbage is produced regularly and it is very difficult to process it day by day so if the garbage processing and seperation done at the primary level it will be easy for the government and municipality.
Most businesses generate different types of liquid wastes and need to make sure that they are disposed of in the right manner. These wastes can include anything from acid and wash waters to grease and oils. There are very stringent regulations in Australia on how wastes can be disposed, and you cannot release them into the general waste stream. The different types of liquid wastes that could be generated by businesses including all.
So we must pledge to reduce the waste as much as we can.
