Waste management is essential in present era. Due to increase in population waste is generated in huge amount, it leads to various issues to our society. For instance people living in slums are very close to waste disposal areas. Therefore they are prone to various diseases. Hence putting their life in danger.
Each individual is responsible for its waste generation. In order to maintain proper hygiene, sanitation etc proper waste management is required. There are various methods and techniques which can be useful, without harmful the environment. Some of them are recycling, composting, reusing etc. Waste is not WASTE. Almost every material or product we use can be reused.
Recycling is the most important method. It is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and objects. recycling aims at environmental sustainability by substituting raw material inputs into and redirecting waste outputs out of the economic system.recycling” of many products or materials involves their reuse in producing different materials for example removal and reuse of mercury for thermometers.
Another important method of using waste is composting. This process recycles various organic materials. In gardens, landscaping, farming etc, it is beneficial for land in many ways as in fertilizer, pesticides, humid acid for soil.
There are many more methods to reuse and reduce waste. Each individual is responsible for its waste. As a result of using these techniques in day to day life, it will reduce pollution,decrease environmental degradation, decrease in bad odor etc.
